Rev. Burt McGlawn

Our new interim pastor is Rev. Burt McGlawn. Pastor McGlawn grew up in Birmingham, Alabama where he attended Birmingham-Southern College and later attended Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He is married to Rayenell, and they have five adult children (3 of whom are adopted). Rev. Burt has served multiple churches in Oklahoma, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky and Alabama and loves engaging with people in conversation. Together, he and Raye, his wife, love to travel. Burt also likes fishing, mowing the grass and other outdoor activities. We are very pleased and excited that Rev. McGlawn is leading our Worship services and our church.

Rachelle Cekander
Music Director

Rachelle served as Music Director for Dieterich Unit 30 schools for over twenty years. Additionally, she has directed and participated in numerous musical and theatrical community events. Rachelle invites anyone, of any age and ability, to share their musical gifts in worship and for church events. Please contact her if interested.

Kristen Schoonover
Youth Director

Kristen Schoonover is our new youth Director. She is married to Tim Schoonover, and they have 3 children. Kristen is the bookkeeper for their trucking company, Schoonover Trucking, LLC and their farm. She is currently attending the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary pursuing her MA in Ministry and certification to become a Commissioned Ruling Elder to serve the Presbytery of Southeastern Illinois. Currently, the youth group (6th to 12th Grade), meets weekly. The youth group is planning special fund-raising activities for mission, retreats and other events. Kristen is also planning activities and special events for Presby Kids Club (Kindergarten to 5th Grade). Kristen invites all area youth to come and join us. Please check the calendar for scheduled meetings and activities.

Tari Hoene
Office Administrator

Tari joined our staff in April 2025 as an office administrator.  She spent her career years employed by the Department of Agriculture, concurrently holding intermittent, part-time positions as a bookkeeper.  Tari is married to her childhood sweetheart, Jason; they have three kids.  She enjoys arts, crafts and most outdoor activities.  If you have any questions about the church or need any assistance, please don't hesitate to give Tari a call at the church office at 217.342.6272.
